The Harman Summer Block Party is an annual neighborhood celebration that takes place every July on Harman St. in between Seneca and Cypress Avenue in Ridgewood, Queens. This year I took a lot of photos between snacks and conversations with neighbors, but chose to mostly focused on the neighborhood kids.

My biggest observation, and perhaps, the most promising take-home I’ve encountered in a while - The kids give me a lot of hope for the future. Their outright willingness to befriend unfamiliar faces, always, is a positive injection in this current timeline. Kids only see people, nothing more. There's no malice, no fear, no hate unless they're taught it. Instead, they just see a new friend. That's reaffirming.
